Buying a home is an exciting milestone, but it can also feel overwhelming if you are not familiar with the steps involved. My role is to guide you through the process and make sure you understand what to expect at each stage.
The first step is having a conversation about your goals and financial situation. During this stage, I review your income, debts, credit, and down payment to determine what you may be able to comfortably afford. From there, I work on securing a mortgage pre approval so you know your budget before you begin looking at homes.
Once you have your pre approval in place, you can begin house hunting with your realtor. When you find the right home, your realtor will help you submit an offer to purchase. If your offer is accepted, I will then submit your mortgage application to the lender for final approval.
During this stage, the lender may request additional documents, and the property will usually need to go through an appraisal to confirm its value. Once the lender is satisfied and all conditions have been met, your mortgage will receive a final approval.
The final step is preparing for closing. Your lawyer or notary will handle the legal paperwork, register the mortgage, and ensure the funds are transferred to complete the purchase. On the closing date, ownership of the home is officially transferred to you.
While there are several steps involved in buying a home, my goal is to guide you through each one so the process feels clear, organized, and as stress free as possible.
